Cannabis-focused division of COHN Marketing wins five marketing industry awards and becomes first-ever marketing agency represented on National Cannabis Industry Association Board of Directors
COHNNABIS, the cannabis-focused division of top marketing and brand agency COHN Marketing, solidified its position as the leader in cannabis industry marketing by becoming the first-ever marketing agency represented on the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) Board of Directors, and taking home five prestigious marketing awards on behalf of its cannabis clients.
Last week, COHNNABIS senior communications director Taylor West became one of nine cannabis industry professionals to win election to the National Cannabis Industry Association Board of Directors — and one of only three non-incumbents to do so. NCIA, the largest national trade association representing the business of the cannabis industry, elects its board of directors through a democratic voting process open to all 1,500+ of its member businesses. COHNNABIS is the first marketing agency ever to hold a seat on NCIA’s board.
In recent weeks, COHNNABIS has also received one Gold Key and two Silver Key awards from the Colorado Chapter of the Business Marketing Association (BMA), and one Platinum and one Gold in the Hermes Creative Awards.
COHNNABIS won a BMA Gold Key and a Hermes Gold for its design, development, and launch of a new corporate website for Surna, a cultivation technology and solutions provider for the cannabis industry. COHNNABIS also took home a BMA Silver Key for its brand campaign on Surna’s behalf.
Another BMA Silver Key was awarded to COHNNABIS for the corporate website of Canna Advisors, one of the industry’s leading business consulting firms. Finally, the Hermes Creative Awards honored COHNNABIS with a Platinum award for the agency’s own website, COHNNABIS.com.
“It’s an honor to see COHNNABIS recognized for both industry leadership and stand-out marketing work on behalf of our clients,” said Jeff Cohn, president and CEO of COHN Marketing. “In the cannabis industry especially, those two qualities should go hand-in-hand. We’re proud of our commitment to this community, and we’re excited to keep bringing world-class branding and marketing to our cannabis clients.”
The BMA Gold Key Awards is recognized as Colorado’s most prestigious competition dedicated solely to B2B marketing communications. This year’s program received more than 100 submissions from some of the state’s top B2B businesses and agencies.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.
